    Balers

Balers are ideal for business with medium to large volumes of cardboard and or plastic waste. Balers can be used to bale cardboard, plastic and other material. They are very ergonomic, clean, easy to use and safe. They are low in noise and energy. Balers have an automated bale out mechanism with a deep and wide pressing chamber. They will efficiently handle all volumes of waste.

Vertical Cardboard Balers are operated machines which are designed to compress a variety of soft materials into ‘bales‘, including cardboard, paper, shrink wrap, rags, bottles and even aluminum/tin cans. These balers are ideal for smaller businesses, which produce lower quantities of soft waste, like restaurants, offices and educational institutes.

Since they can be loaded, operated and unloaded by just one person, labor costs and processing time are reduced tremendously. Once the baler has compacted the waste, it can simply be tied with plastic straps or wire, and the reduced volume makes it much easier and a lot more cost-effective to transport on a forklift or truck.

    How Recycling Balers Work

Vertical balers are very power efficient and take up very little space due to their compact design. Considering the nature of organizations where these balers are used, they are very easy to handle and operate. The operation is very simple as you just need to lift the metal cage door and throw in the waste and then press the button to start compacting. A platen will push the waste down to compact sizes. At the bottom door of the machine there are metal hooks, which are welded in to keep the bales in their compressed sizes so that they do not spring back.

Balers can be fed by hand and are best suited for relatively smaller quantities of waste. Where the throughput is larger, a horizontal baler might be more suitable.
    Where Can You Use Balers?

Vertical balers are most useful in the stock room where space constraints are most prominent and quick and ease of use is most important. Another important aspect is the safety feature, which is of top priority considering the closed space they are likely to be kept in and the types of users of this equipment.

Vertical balers are most commonly found in:

    •    Warehouses
    •    Chemists
    •    Supermarkets
    •    Manufacturing Plants
    •    Recycling Operations
    •    Shopping Centers
    •    Distribution Centers

These establishments have a very steady amount of recyclable waste of different materials that need compacting such as cardboard, paper and plastic.
